The Apostle of Begnion, or the false Apostle of Begnion depending on who you ask, is up next. Sanaki is the bulkiest Mage in this series, but she's also the second slowest, just ahead of Ilyana who doesn't really care because she has Shade access. This is quite a problem for her because it makes her very susceptible to mastery skills. The one thing that she has over the rest of the mages, is the aforementioned physical bulk thanks to the Rudol Gem that is given to her by Sephiran. This makes it so that she doesn't fold completely against many units with a Brave weapon unlike magic units like Soren or Rhys who lose to this exact situation. She also has access to Light Magic, which gives her that little bit extra hit rate over Rexcalibur, which many of the Arch Sages would love to have. It also gives her Nosferatu access, so with her physical bulk, she can Nosferatank granted she doesn't get mastery'd. Other than that, her other stats are middle of the pack aside from her Magic which is at a solid 62. Before the patch, it was at 58, so she was given that to help solidify her damage because of how slow she is. Another thing that was buffed in the patch was her Spd, which was at a horrific 38. Overall, her main strategy for success is to survive the onslaught of attacks with her bulk and then proc Flare.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.
For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
