Giffca, most likely the best Lion in this series, has a very strange stat spread that he makes work well. He has 70(!) speed for a Lion because of his ridiculously high Growth of 50% for a laguz unit. This gives him plenty of opportunities to overwhelm his opponents with raw damage or Roar procs. He also has a much better time of it against magic units since he has access to Nullify which gets rid of that pesky Fire effectiveness on Lions. He still doesn't like getting hit by them since he has a paltry 24 Res stat, but unlike the other two Lions in the series, he has an amazing Spd stat to work with which means he can't be doubled by any of the mages (Unless they proc Adept). It also isn't possible to one-shot him unless you crit or have very strong Flare damage. That being said, crits are definitely his biggest weakness here. With a below average 31 Lck, many of the mages have a very solid chance to crit him with Rexbolt and also helps the physical units to rely on something other than their mastery skills. The other issue with Giffca is that his hit rates are shaky because of his low Lck and just average Skl which makes it hard for him to confirm kills sometimes.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.
For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
