Turn 9 at this point. Without needing to worry about the walls being destroyed, my squads can start cleaning up their corners. Aubrey even contributes where possible. Speaking of her...
Aubrey's very much worth the huge price tag she asks for. She'll never grow in magic, but she's an offensive powerhouse with her only real downside being low defense. That however can be remedied with her insanely busted growths...with only one level to grow. If you have an Eternal Seal lying around, she will make VERY good use of it.
Her personal skill is Lethality. She has a chance equal to half of her skill to just straight up delete an enemy. If she's using Peshkatz though, that chance to proc increases by a flat 10%.
Once turn 12 comes around, one final boss enters the field and the objective changes to an all bosses must be killed song & dance. That's great and all if the last person to enter wasn't Brianna.
On her own, Brianna sacrifices the blinding speed of Wester for raw destructive power. Her attack is one of the highest in the game to this point at 70, all thanks to a second Flameguard regalia, Hellfire, which grants her +10 to magic and defense, the Aegis skill (chance to nullify magic damage), and deals physical damage.
Think that's it? Hardly. Brianna brings two other things to the table. One is her personal skill Ignis, granting her a chance equal to her skill to boost her damage by half of her def & res stats. This puts her base attack in the mid 90s if it procs which...let's be honest, there's maybe two people tops that could possibly tank that at full health, Isabelle & Cyrus.
That other thing she has is the Harbinger Sigil which gives her a huge boost to her def & res. Ever wanted to see a boss hit triple digit base attack power? She's your girl!
There is a way to break that sigil though. It's powered by Harbingers...seven of them in fact. Kill all seven surrounding Brianna and the sigil shatters, lowering her defenses greatly.
Dealing with the Harbingers is a pain as per usual, but in this case they are all magic aligned ones so you can prepare properly with Barrier staff or Holy Water usage on whomever is going to bait out an attack or two. Don't be afraid to bust out your Rescue staff uses too in order to whittle them down via kamikaze-styled attacks.
Once the Harbingers are dealt with, bring your 3 range weapons or any weapons that prevent enemy counters like Volsunga down on Brianna to knock her out and end the map after all other bosses are dead and one more turn passes.
At the end of this chapter, you get the chance to kill or spare Alexander's life. There's no best answer here, but sparing him does add some dialogue in the credits at the very end.
Regardless of your choice, Jakka gets something to help him rescue his mother & sis from the Lightbringer loyalists that helped defend the city, Lux Hasta. 1-2 range spear, quite powerful, and grants him the Pierce skill while wielded which debuffs the enemy's def by 4, decaying in effectiveness by 1 per turn that passes. Between this and Ahlspiess, Jakka's pretty damn good in terms of weapons. Maybe something like a Brave Lance or Sword...or even a Master Lance to round out his kit, but he's good to go for the endgame.
Next time...families are saved and someone quite literally gets an Ultimate Armor X level upgrade.
