Carnegie Hall has a sewer level, but thankfully it's very brief.
Enemy wise, rats are prevalent still, but there's a new one you'll bump into, a giant toad. It'll jump around for the most part, only stopping every so often to use its tongue to attack. Since their tongue is hanging out the right side of their mouth, it's best to be circling around them counter-clockwise to make it easier to dodge the tongue when they actually attack.
After moving north for a bit and dealing with a couple encounters, you'll find a chest with a M1911A1 handgun. Slightly stronger than the P220, but has a ROFx3 effect on the gun compared to the x2 effect. You'd think having a higher rate of fire would be useful, but your bullet damage gets lowered as ROF increases.
Before moving further north, head up either set of stairs to reach a fight with two rats on a walkway over a room that'll let you see the location of a couple hard to see chests. The rats have slightly different stats, but no new attacks and don't really move from their initial spots, making them relatively easy to kill without taking damage. They're notable because they can drop a very nice item, a Revive. If Aya has one in her inventory and gets taken to 0 hp, she'll be resurrected at 50% of her max hp and one Revive will be consumed.
Back down in the water, keep going north to find that mysterious ghost girl who goes west. Before following her, there's a Medicine 1 or Ammo +6 in the chest to the west, another Medicine 1 or Ammo +6 to the north, and an Offense +1 or 2 to the east. Near that last chest is a semi hidden room to the east. Three chests inside with Ammo +15 or Cure-P (cures poison), PE +1 or Range +2, and Offense +1 or +2. There's also a wheel in the northeast you can interact with, revealing a chest in the southwest with a Medicine 2 (heals 90 hp).
Following the ghost girl west leads to one of the final battle spots before the next boss, a dangerous one with two giant toads. You'll really notice just how much EX Mode +4 ramps up enemy damage in this fight if you get hit by a tonque so watch yourself.
Once you go all the way west, there's a switch that'll open up the way to the next boss. There's also a phone here so take advantage of it, especially if you're like me and decide to farm some extra Revive drops and get some precious levels, meaning some new PE abilities for Aya.
Scan which she already had from hitting lv3 lets you see the hp & weaknesses of an enemy.
Slow, learned at lv7, slows a chosen enemy's AT recharge rate as well as movement.
To the north past the opened gate is Eve once again. She doesn't say anything radically different than her banter from last time, but she does decide against getting trounced by Aya a third time. She does make a mutant bipedal alligator for Aya to fight, complete with a very catchy boss theme to boot.
As the game states, there are two targets at the start, the alligator's head and its tail. Attacking the head does basically no damage so you need to aim for the tail first. This can be a tricky task when the tail has two attacks, either a tail whip at close range or firing multiple wind cutter shaped projectiles in a fan-like spread. These projectiles hurt, easily doing 60+ damage if the RNG is unkind to you, and can be difficult to dodge at range since the projectiles are very big. You could use your Club 1 against the tail, but you have to get a lot closer than you might think to get hits to register.
Persist until the tail falls and the boss shifts to phase 2. The head now takes proper damage and replaces the tail's attacks from the last phase with a bite at close range or turning a random direction to fire a few beams from its mouth. Pay close attention to the mouth lasers since the alligator turning in a random direction could easily mess you up if you're in a corner and they're aimed in your direction. If not? You get some free shots to lay into the monster's head.
After the alligator gets put down, you get a good chunk of xp and a Kv Vest 1. Aya also questions what Eve really wants from her.
Getting outside, there's a reporter who wants to know everything and starts asking Aya several questions. Aya's clearly has thrown in the towel tonight, but thankfully she gets saved when her real backup, Daniel Dollis, comes in and saves her by knocking the reporter flat on his ass.
Not much is said on the ride home. Aya falls asleep and monologues about six days filled with memories and nightmares of all kinds before day 1 ends.
Every day ending gives you a chance to save and, if you're on an EX Mode run, will get some BP. Obviously I'm going to throw the gained BP into a junk piece of equipment that'll be discarded.
More next time!
