The Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo is one of the oldest (1,000 years-old) mosques in Cairo, and it is affiliated with Al-Azhar University, the second oldest continuously run university in the world. Students live here and professors teach religious classes here. The mosque features a beautiful courtyard and you can see people praying inside.
