If you’re a regular visitor to my channel, you’ll probably know that the Steinmeyer organ of Landau (sampled by @PiotrGrabowski_Organs) is my favorite Hauptwerk instrument, even though it’s certainly not the easiest one to play.
So when Piotr this afternoon released his brand-new sample set of the Nenninger, Moser, Schwenk & Klais organ (1915) of St. Margaret’s Church in Munich, I didn’t hesitate for a second. I bought it, downloaded it, installed it, and immediately sat down to play it. My expectations were high because of the exceptional quality of the Landau sample set and I’m happy to say they were fully met. What a wonderful instrument! It feels completely at home under my hands.
To celebrate this beautiful new virtual organ, I recorded my own composition Air of Summer (Op. 36). It seemed like the perfect choice for this warm summer evening, with the temperature still a delightful 32°C (90°F) at 10:00 p.m.
