Inspired by the Perseid meteor shower in August, together with the eclipse, and encouraged by one of my subscribers, I wrote another celestial piece to accompany its sister, Stars in Motion (youtu.be/RhLDST_4-qY?is=XwTB4JHmMt-DVoz9). I hope you enjoy this tranquil journey into the cosmos.
Written in A flat major, the piece combines a simple, peaceful melody with a gentle flow of chords. At times the harmonies sound warm and melodious, while at other moments they create a little tension and seem to rub against each other, adding a touch of mystery to the music. The piece can be played in around 2:20 or, with a repeat and a contrasting registration in around 4:40.
