On Tuesday, June 9, I arrived home late after being caught in an enormous traffic jam. There was hardly any time to play music, let alone make a recording. Yet I sat down at the organ for a few minutes and began to explore two simple chords: C major and D minor.
No grand ambitions, no technical fireworks, just a few gentle sounds to wash away the stress of the day. I pressed the record button, and this is the result.
A free improvisation based on a very simple ostinato theme. Nothing complicated, just music created in the moment. If it’s not your cup of tea, that’s perfectly fine. Tomorrow I’ll be back with a lovely hymn voluntary!
