In this video tutorial from 2Dgameartguru.com, I am using compounds to create a dolphin - just using circles and keeping it fully editable.

This video explains the use of compounds using circles to create shapes like the dolphin with ease - and keeping them fully editable. The Adobe Illustrator [and now Vectornator] have a shape-building tool that gets a lot of hype. Here's my approach in Affinity Designer using compounds. My 2 cents on the matter are pretty clear - compounds are a lot easier to work with, fully editable, and non-destructive. These are major benefits to my workflow.

Most of the functionality shown in the video can be created with other software tools such as Adobe's Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Inkscape with minor alterations and different names for the tools used.
