UC Davis veterinary students showcased their excellence on a national stage as they hosted the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) Symposium for 700 attendees from around the world.
The event featured 70+ lectures, hands-on wet labs, workshops, an exhibit hall with 80+ vendors, and exciting competitions. Attendees also enjoyed day trips to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe and wrapped up the symposium with a “Legen-Dairy” gala featuring keynote speaker Dr. Temple Grandin.
This entirely student-organized event highlights UC Davis’ long-standing leadership in veterinary education—after all, SAVMA itself was founded through the advocacy of UC Davis students!
