I was so fortunate to be one of the first audiences to see this film when I got to experience at TIFF 2019.
I won't even discuss the Canadian beginnings of #MisterRogers, how he and the Canadian icon Mr Dressup were friends. I won't talk about how Mr Rogers gave a young George Romero his start in the business (I mean honestly, without Mr Rogers, we wouldn't have the Godfather of the Zombie genre? That's an amazing fact...) No I will just talk about the wonderful message within this film.
In my #ABeautifulDayMovieReview, I discuss how the performances are solid, yes...Director Marielle Heller's vision is superb... but it was such an unexpected journey in to happiness that it was one of my favourite films this year. It's a film about happiness, it's a film about hope, it's a film about humanity, and I hope you enjoy my review, Neighbour.
