I thought about this one a lot. I wrote and rewrote my review over weeks. I thought about the dozen films they produced. And it all led us to this... #DarkPhoenix.

The #XMen films have been amazing subtextual masterpieces or they have been downright flops that seemingly forgot where they came from. It is an absolute tragedy that Dark Phoenix ends on the latter note.

So in my #DarkPhoenixMovieReview I look at what happened to this franchise that invented the modern day era of Comic Book Movies, the newest generation of X-Men films, and where it all went wrong. Was it #BrettRatner? Was it #BryanSinger? Was it #SimonKinberg? You'll just have to watch.

So enjoy my 10 minute rant/retrospective on where this once bright shining phoenix went dark...
