8 Jasmine Flowers
There are many kinds of Jasmine flowers.
That all look about the same,
Except those which are different,
But have the same name.
There are also Jasmine flowers,
And this fact will blow your mind,
That only look like Jasmine flowers,
But are another kind.
There are also Jasmine flowers,
That don’t look like jasmine at all,
Some clumping in a bush somewhere,
Or climbing a brick wall.
Tiny white star-shaped flowers,
Some yellow or white instead,
But if you really look around,
You’ll see one painted red.
Jasmine flowers are quite fragrant,
With five petals on the vine,
But if you look around enough,
You’ll find one that has nine.
With two-hundred known species,
They have followed us around,
It seems if humans go there,
Then we have discovered common ground.
So what is the lesson here,
That we have learned from a sometime weed?
If you look good and you smell good,
Then that is all you need?
We did real well yesterday, so I guess seeing my face didn't scare anyone away. Today's prompt isn't autobiographical, rather it digs into the philosophical depts of flowers. Okay, that last sentence was bogus, but nobody reads the description anyway.
