You want someone to film your video who understands your Catholic mission and all the nuances of the faith. Here are five places where you can find a videographer who understands Catholicism and practices what they preach.
1. The Catholic Media Association - this group is made up of media professionals across the US, including publishers and whole diocesean departments. If there’s not a videographer listed in your area, someone in the group can make a recommendation. Find them at catholicmediaassociation.org
2. Catholic Creatives - this is a Facebook-based group uniting artistic Catholics across the country. They have a job board that you can post on as long as you request to join the group. Find them on Facebook, search Catholic Creatives.
3. Catholic Social Media Managers - this is another Facebook-based group, but created for those who are just like you and are working for a church or other Catholic organization. A member in your area could provide a recommendation. Find them on Facebook, search Catholic Social Media Managers.
4. If you’re in Minnesota like we are, check out the amazing St. Joseph’s List by the St. Joseph Business Guild. Seriously, every state should have one. It’s a comprehensive list of Catholic-owned businesses. Find it at stjosephslist.com
5. Finally, another one for us Minnesotans - Catholic Communicators of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. As before, these are people just like you who would happily make recommendations for the perfect Catholic videographer. Find them on Facebook, search Catholic Communicators of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
