You know that video is the most effective digital marketing tool out there. But how do you prove that it will further your Catholic organization’s particular mission?
You need to set measurable KPI’s - that’s a marketing term that stands for Key Performance Indicators. These are different than goals in that they are concrete numbers. So your goal may be to ”inspire supporters to donate,” but your KPI would be to have your video seen by 200 new potential donors.
You can then use these KPI’s to determine an ROI – that short for “return on investment.” So maybe you know that one in twenty supporters actually donates to your organization, and the average lifetime donation is $500. So if your video hits your KPI of being seen by 200 new potential donors, that means on average 10 of them will donate about $500, so your return on investment is $5,000 for that video.
That’s stewardship. Tracking your KPIs and ROI will allow you to show the board that the investment of their valuable resources is indeed furthering your mission.
