I get it. You have a lot on your plate. More to the point, video seems like a big complicated project that you don’t have the time to start.
We’re all guilty of delaying that much-needed video project, a project that we know will make a big impact on our Catholic nonprofit and clients alike. Myself included, and video is what my company DOES.
Here’s how to break through and get started. It’s a hack I stole from productivity expert Michael Hyatt.
Set a timer for five minutes. Then see just how much you can do in those five minutes. Can you write up a title? How about sketching out your audience? Maybe shoot off emails to a couple potential interviewees? Or book a free consultation with a video company?
You will be shocked by how much you can accomplish in five minutes of intense focus. And the result is that you are unstuck. The ball is rolling.
As Michael Hyatt notes, it’s the beginning that is the most difficult. Once you start, you are halfway there. And that guilty feeling of what you “should” be doing dissolves into the satisfaction of what you ARE doing.
