We had driven this track a few times in the past, but this was the most water I have ever seen across it. The road in and out is not a straight line at this crossing, so I thought it was important to pick the line I was to take. (Unless there is something in the water that may eat you). It's well worth the time to first walk any water crossing and check the bottom for hardness, rocks, or holes and the best line to take. Traction on the exit was not going to be a problem, and after walking it, a nice smooth wide ark was the way to go. I decided it would be OK with the off-road caravan as long as I had a bit of momentum when I got to the water. All went to plan, and we got through to our campsite without any problems. Nothing like a wide river crossing to make a camping trip feel like an adventure. Our 4x4 Nissan Pathfinder did the job nicely.
