If you find yourself in an emergency situation and need to use Polkweed to make fire, do not breath in the smoke. Once you get a fire going, you can eat the young leaves. You have to parboil them a couple of times then you can fry them up with eggs. I enjoy them with scrambled eggs. Polkweed tastes like Spinach.
