When Jute twine is made, they use oil to process it. Usually the oil doesn’t affect the ignitability of it/fire rolls with fillers like tobacco, rust, and especially not wood ashes. This new roll of Jute that I just bought from Home Depot for 5 dollars is too oily. I actually had this same problem with the previous roll I bought from Home Depot.
This morning after 3 tries, I figured out that doubling up on the Jute makes the fire roll ignitable again. So, instead of the usual 12” I used 24” and made the wood ashes fire roll ignite. Please find the Link to this morning’s video below. It’s on my other channel.
So tonight, let’s see if the rust in 24” of oily Jute twine will ignite.
