Hey everyone! Here is another hat of the month. It's been so long since I've done one of these, but I hope you guys like this one. It started out as just a 1920's style hat, because in my suggestion video GingerKittyKat48 had mentions "era style" hats, but as I finished it, it made me think of iconic Nancy Drew. So now here is my 1920's style Nancy Drew hat. I've seen almost all the Nancy Drew movies made, Emma Roberts version is my favorite, and I'm curious/excited for the newest one with actress Sophia Lillis. Do you guys like the Nancy Drew films? Items:
Caron Simply Soft yarn in Autumn Red
Clover Bamboo 16" circular needles & double pointed needles size 8 (5mm)
Stitch Marker
Measuring tape

Instructions:
Cast on 99sts

Work garter stitch for 1 1/2". Since we are working in the round it will be alternating rows of knit and purl to achieve garter stitch.

Knit 3 plain rows.
*K7, ssk; rep from * around. - 88sts
Continue in plain knit for 7" from cast on edge.

Crown Decreases:
When stitches get tight, switch to double pointed needles.
Row 1: *K9, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 2: *K8, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 3: *K7, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 4: *K6, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 5: *K5, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 6: *K4, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 7: *K3, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 8: *K2, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 9: *K1, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 10: *K2tog; rep from * around. - 8sts

Cut yarn and weave throught ends. Finish hat and enjoy.
