Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure at Chessington, join us for an on ride and off ride look at the new PAW Patrol Drifter ride inside World of PAW Patrol at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.

Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure is one of the new PAW Patrol rides inside Adventure Bay at Chessington World of Adventures, bringing Zuma’s water rescue world into the UK’s first World of PAW Patrol themed land. Riders board Zuma’s hovercraft for a spinning rescue mission from Adventure Bay to Seal Island, racing across the ocean themed setting to help deliver a brand new lightbulb to the lighthouse.

Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure ride is the UK’s first Drifter installation, built by German ride manufacturer Zierer. Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure uses small hovercraft style vehicles that move around a central ride area, with drifting movement that makes each lap feel more active than a standard spinning ride. The motion fits Zuma perfectly, linking the ride to water rescue missions, hovercraft action, Seal Island, lighthouse theming and the Adventure Bay setting from the PAW Patrol TV series.

World of PAW Patrol is now open at Chessington World of Adventures for 2026, bringing Adventure Bay to the resort with new PAW Patrol rides, character meet and greets, themed play areas, PAW Patrol merchandise, the Lookout Tower and a full PAW Patrol land based on Ryder and the rescue pups. The new area adds a major PAW Patrol presence to Chessington, with Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rubble, Rocky and Zuma all represented across the rides and themed spaces.

The new World of PAW Patrol rides include Chase’s Mountain Mission, Skye’s Helicopter Heroes, Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue and Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure. Chase’s Mountain Mission brings a rollercoaster style rescue mission to the land, Skye’s Helicopter Heroes takes riders into the air above Adventure Bay, Marshall’s Firetruck Rescue adds fire rescue theming, and Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure brings spinning hovercraft action to the new area. Rocky and Rubble’s Play Area adds another themed section based around building, fixing and rescue teamwork.

World of PAW Patrol also includes a PAW Patrol Gift Shop with PAW Patrol merchandise, clothing, toys, plush, gifts, souvenirs, accessories and Adventure Bay items inspired by Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, Everest and Liberty. Together with the PAW Patrol themed hotel rooms at Chessington Safari Hotel, the new land makes PAW Patrol a major part of the Chessington World of Adventures Resort experience for 2026.

World of PAW Patrol replaces parts of the former Mexicana area and the YooHoo Children's Zoo Adventure Bay now gives this part of Chessington a completely new identity, replacing the old western and zoo setting with PAW Patrol rides, rescue vehicles, themed buildings, character moments and the world of Ryder and the pups.

Zuma is the water rescue pup from PAW Patrol, known for ocean missions, hovercraft rescues, beach rescues and helping the team around Adventure Bay’s waters. Zuma’s orange hovercraft is one of his most recognisable vehicles, making Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure a strong fit for the new Chessington ride. The Seal Island lighthouse mission connects directly to Zuma’s rescue role, giving the attraction a clear PAW Patrol story while adding movement, spinning and drift style action to Adventure Bay.

PAW Patrol first launched in 2013 and has become one of the world’s biggest animated TV franchises. The series follows Ryder and the PAW Patrol pups as they protect Adventure Bay through rescue missions, teamwork, vehicles and problem solving. Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, Everest and Liberty have become recognisable through the PAW Patrol TV series, PAW Patrol movies, toys, books, games, clothing, live shows, merchandise and theme park attractions.

Chessington World of Adventures opened as Chessington Zoo in 1931 before becoming Chessington World of Adventures in 1987, combining a theme park, zoo, SEA LIFE Aquarium, resort hotels and themed lands. Chessington has continued to grow with Vampire, Dragon’s Fury, The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, Room on the Broom, Croc Drop, Mandrill Mayhem, World of Jumanji and now World of PAW Patrol. Zuma’s Hovercraft Adventure adds another new ride to Chessington’s 2026 lineup and brings Zuma’s rescue missions into the heart of Adventure Bay.
