Paultons Park is home to a diverse lineup of roller coasters spread across several themed lands including Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, Lost Kingdom and Tornado Springs with family coasters, spinning coasters, suspended coasters and the Paulton Park’s first inverting thrill coaster.

Leading the lineup is Drakon, the flagship attraction of Valgard: Realm of the Vikings and Paultons Park’s first ever inverting roller coaster. Manufactured by Gerstlauer, this custom Euro-Fighter coaster features a vertical lift hill, beyond vertical drop and two inversions, delivering the park’s most intense coaster experience since opening in 2026 as part of the £12 million Valgard expansion.

Also in Valgard is Raven, the rethemed former Cobra coaster. Originally opening in 2006, Cobra was transformed into Raven with extensive Viking theming and integration into the new land. This Gerstlauer bobsled coaster combines twisting turns, airtime hills and fast-paced family thrills.

In Tornado Springs, Storm Chaser delivers spinning coaster action through the park’s 1950s American Midwest themed land. Manufactured by Mack Rides, the coaster opened in 2021 and features spinning cars, airtime hills and sweeping turns. Nearby, Farmyard Flyer opened in 2022 as a junior family coaster manufactured by Zamperla, giving younger guests their first coaster experience.

Lost Kingdom features several major coasters including Flight of the Pterosaur, a suspended Vekoma family coaster opened in 2016 where riders’ legs hang freely beneath the track as the coaster glides through prehistoric scenery at speeds exceeding 30mph.

Alongside it is Velociraptor, a Vekoma family boomerang coaster also opening in 2016. Velociraptor launches riders forwards and backwards through dinosaur territory with compact but intense thrills.

Dino Chase offers a smaller family coaster experience in Lost Kingdom. Originally opening in 2003 as Flying Frog, the Zierer coaster was rethemed in 2016 as part of the Lost Kingdom expansion.

Inside Critter Creek, Cat-o-Pillar, another Zierer junior coaster which originally opened in 2000 as the Stinger but was rethemed to Cat-O-Pillar in 2015.

Paultons Park has already confirmed its next major addition with Serpent’s Curse, the UK’s first ever water coaster opening in 2027 as part of a major Valgard expansion. Manufactured by MACK Rides, Serpent’s Curse will be built on the former Go Karts site and will further expand the Viking-themed land with water coaster sections, sweeping turns and a major splash finale.

Paultons Park, located in Hampshire’s New Forest, first opened in 1983 and has grown into one of the UK’s most successful family theme parks. The park is internationally recognised for Peppa Pig World while continuing to expand with major themed lands including Lost Kingdom, Tornado Springs, Ghostly Manor and Valgard: Realm of the Vikings.
