One of the biggest highlights for 2026 is Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies, the brand new Bluey themed junior coaster at Alton Towers, which can be seen testing in CBeebies Land ahead of opening. Replacing the former Postman Pat Parcel Post ride, Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies is the world’s first Bluey coaster and a major new addition for Alton Towers 2026, joining the popular Bluey live show and Bluey meet and greet to make CBeebies Land one of the most talked about family areas in the UK this season.
CBeebies Land first opened on 24th May 2014, replacing Storybook Land and Old MacDonald’s Farmyard. Designed around the BBC’s CBeebies brand, the area combines rides, shows and interactive attractions inspired by popular television programmes. The land was officially opened by Justin Fletcher, known as Mr Tumble, and has continued to expand with new experiences over the years.

Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Resort is Europe’s only Thomas Land, bringing Thomas the Tank Engine and The Island of Sodor to life inside one of the UK’s best known theme parks. Located in Staffordshire, this themed area is packed with Thomas & Friends rides, attractions, shops and restrauarnts based on the Thomas the Tank Engine books and television series.
Sodor Railway is one of the main Thomas Land attractions, with Thomas, Rosie or Percy taking guests between Knapford Station and the wider Island of Sodor area. The store continues the Star Wars theme with futuristic interiors inspired by the technology and spacecraft of the films. Merchandise includes Star Wars apparel and accessories, pins, figures, collectibles, costumes, toys and gifts, alongside opportunities to build a lightsaber or create your own droid.
Star Tours: The Adventures Continue opened at Disneyland Paris on 26th March 2017, replacing the original Star Tours attraction which had operated since 1992. Guests board a Starspeeder 1000 with C-3PO for a 3D motion simulator journey combining different destinations, characters and encounters from across the Star Wars galaxy. Starport is located alongside the attraction, providing opportunities to encounter characters from the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars began with George Lucass original 1977 film, later titled Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, and developed into a series spanning films, television, animation, books, games and theme park attractions. Characters including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Darth Vader, Yoda, R2-D2 and C-3PO have been joined by characters from later stories including Rey, Kylo Ren, The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Star Wars attractions can be found at several Disney resorts. Disneyland California and Disneys Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World feature Star Wars: Galaxys Edge, large themed lands based around the planet Batuu with Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Disneyland Paris has two major Star Wars rides in Discoveryland, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue and Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain.
Discoveryland is Disneyland Pariss retro-futuristic interpretation of the traditional Disney Tomorrowland concept, combining science, invention, space travel and exploration. Attractions include Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, Orbitron, Autopia and Les Mystères du Nautilus alongside Star Tours.
Disneyland Park opened as Euro Disneyland on 12th April 1992 and includes Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland, centred around Sleeping Beauty Castle, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant.
Disneyland Paris is located in Chessy, around 32 km east of Paris and includes Disneyland Park, Disney Adventure World, Disney Village and Disney Hotels. Disney Adventure World expanded significantly in 2026 with World of Frozen, Adventure Way and Adventure Bay joining Avengers Campus and World of Pixar, while development continues on The Pride Lands, La Terre des Lions, inspired by Disneys The Lion King.

[4K] Beastie Burrows at Paultons Park, join us for a walkthrough of this indoor real life bug emporium and animal encounter in Critter Creek where guests get close to fascinating creatures including insects, reptiles, and amphibians, all housed in a colourfully themed critter habitat designed for the whole family to explore.
Beastie Burrows is part of Critter Creek, Paultons Park’s colourful and quirky land themed around curious creatures and their eccentric world. The area combines bright colours, fun theming, and family-friendly rides such as Cat-O-Pillar and Professor Blast’s Expedition Express.
Inside Beastie Burrows, guests can view an array of exotic species up close, from creepy crawlies to reptiles, in a safe and engaging environment.
Sadly, Beastie Burrows has been permantly closed in 2026 and its replacement has yet to be announced.
Critter Creek replaced the park’s Magic Forest area in 2015, bringing with it a fresh identity and new attractions. It marked a shift toward immersive themed lands at Paultons Park, paving the way for later expansions such as Lost Kingdom and Tornado Springs. The theming blends oversized plants, quirky structures, and friendly critter mascots, making it a hit with families.
Paultons Park, located in Hampshire’s New Forest, is the UK’s number one family theme park and home to over 70 rides and attractions. In May 2025, the park unveiled Ghostly Manor, a groundbreaking interactive dark ride housed in the former 4D Cinema building. In 2026, Paultosn Park opened Valgard: Realm of the Vikings, a major new themed land featuring three new rides, Drakon, a thrilling Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter coaster, Raven, a high-speed family coaster, and the UK’s first Wild Swing known as VildSwing. The area also includes a The Orchard, a Viking-themed playground and a large themed restaurant.

Mr Potato’s Playground is a popular outdoor play areas in Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park. Upgraded for the 2026 season, the play area features modern climbing equipment, slides and interactive play features alongside the much-loved Muddy Puddles Splash Area, giving guests plenty of opportunities for active outdoor fun during the summer months.
Mr Potato is one of the best-known characters from the Peppa Pig television series, encouraging healthy eating, exercise and outdoor activity throughout the show. Standing proudly at the entrance to the playground, Mr Potato welcomes guests into the play area, while nearby attractions featuring Peppa Pig, George Pig, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and the rest of the Peppa Pig characters help bring the world of the television series to life. At the far end of the playground, the Muddy Puddles Splash Area offers a fun way to cool down on warm summer days, inspired by one of Peppa Pigs favourite activities.
Peppa Pig World continues to reflect the latest stories from the Peppa Pig television series, with Baby Evie now part of the Pig family and George Pig wearing his hearing aid following his diagnosis of moderate hearing loss.
Opening in April 2011, Peppa Pig World became the worlds first Peppa Pig Theme Park, officially known as Paultons Park, Home of Peppa Pig World. The themed land features nine rides including George’s Dinosaur Ride, Daddy Pig’s Car Ride, Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride, Grandpa Pig’s Little Train, Grandpa Pig’s Boat Trip, Grampy Rabbit’s Sailing Club, The Queen’s Flying Coach Ride, Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight and Windy Castle Ride, alongside Peppa Pig’s House, George’s Spaceship Playzone, Madame Gazelle’s School House, character meet and greets and the worlds biggest Peppa Pig Toy Shop.
The popularity of Peppa Pig World has inspired Peppa Pig Theme Parks and Peppa Pig Lands around the world, including Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida, Peppa Pig Theme Park Texas, Peppa Pig Park in Günzburg, Germany, Peppa Pig Land at Heide Park Resort in Germany and Peppa Pig Land at Gardaland Resort in Italy.
Beyond Peppa Pig World, Paultons Park is home to more than 70 rides and attractions across themed lands including Lost Kingdom, Tornado Springs, Critter Creek and Valgard: Realm of the Vikings. Construction is also underway on Serpents Curse, the UKs first water coaster, which is scheduled to open in 2027.
