Unpopular opinion: It’s actually good to have toxic people in your life. Hear me out.
The toxic people in your life, they bring out the worst in you. They just know where your buttons are and how to press them.
But that’s a good thing because it makes you more self-aware. Maybe a comment triggers an insecurity, or negativity throws your whole day. Instead of getting caught up in the drama, use it as a chance to self-reflect.
Why did that reaction bother you? What about the situation that pushed your buttons? By understanding your triggers, you understand yourself WAY better, and you can work on those issues to become a better version of yourself.
Is this an excuse to keep toxic people in your life forever? Absolutely not! But no matter how hard you try, life will inevitably throw toxic people your way. It’s not something you can avoid.
So, if you have to deal with them, why not make the best out of the encounter? Consider it a free, and admittedly annoying, self-improvement course.

This is a short exercise to see if you have the most common negative belief that people have about themselves.
[TRANSCRIPT]:
Beliefs are deeper than thought, and thought is deeper than emotion.
What is emotion?
Emotion is a physiological response to our thinking.
And so if were tinkering with beliefs that resonate with you, that are true to you, youre going to feel it.
Youre going to feel it somewhere in your body.
Take a deep breath and say, Im not good enough. So what happened there?
Either the words were flat as if you said, I am the color blue, and it didnt make any sense at all, and you didnt feel anything in your body.
Now, if you do have it, if you had that deep feeling somewhere, maybe in your throat or your chest – that heaviness, congratulations! Youre human!
Its okay. This is what humans do.
