Have you ever thought about what it would be like to actually own a piece of a retro video game company? What about a company that produces some of the absolute best aftermarket accessories for both modern systems and classic retro consoles? Well, now you actually have the opportunity to do just that. The brilliant team behind the StrikerDC, the Mantis, the Hunter, and frankly one of my all-time favorite controllers, the Brawler64, has just announced that they are opening their doors to public investors!
That's right, you can now INVEST in Retro Fighters, let's take a look at the Wefunder campaign details and the 2026 product roadmap.
That company is Retro Fighters. You know I am a massive fan of what they do. I absolutely love my wireless Brawler64—at least when I remember to keep the batteries charged so I don't have to suffer through the awkward grip of the original N64 trident controller! Keeping physical media and original hardware alive is incredibly important to the retro community, but dealing with failing 25-year-old plastic thumbsticks is a major pain point. Retro Fighters consistently solves that problem by bridging the gap between classic consoles and modern controller technology. Seeing where they started and how far they have evolved over the years is genuinely exciting, and this new campaign marks the next major step in their overall evolution.
Looking at their official campaign page over at Wefunder, they are already off to a fantastic start. At the time of recording, they have already raised $6,850 on an initial goal of $75,000. For those who might be curious, let's look at some of the major business highlights they have posted for prospective investors:
They have generated over $7 million in total revenue.
They have successfully generated nearly $1 million across their various Kickstarter campaigns.
They have officially become a Microsoft Xbox licensed partner (which is huge news for their 2026 catalog!).
They have sold more than 250,000 Retro Fighters controllers and accessories worldwide.
And they are certainly not slowing down anytime soon. Just looking at their product roadmap for 2026, we are getting a massive lineup of new hardware. We are looking at the release of the Battle Dock, the Brawler64 Pro, the Defender Pro, the S4 Pro (I am incredibly curious to see exactly what that turns out to be!), brand new official Xbox hardware, and the Pixel Pulse Pro. Plus, they have teased that there are even more projects coming down the pipeline that haven't been fully revealed yet. They are constantly pushing the envelope to keep our classic consoles playing better than ever before.
Now, I have to give the standard important disclaimer here: I am not a fiduciary or a financial advisor, and past success is never a guarantee of future results in the investing world. You always have to do your own research. But, I will simply say that I have been a dedicated fan of Retro Fighters since the original Brawler64 hit the market.
If you want to be part of the fund, I would definitely recommend reaching out to them. Ask questions, read through their Wefunder pitch deck, and learn everything you need to know to go ahead and decide if you want to invest your hard-earned money into this.
Good luck to Robert and everyone over at Retro Fighters. I know you are going to knock this out of the ballpark... and yeah, I may just have to invest a little bit myself!
