In this video we are going to take a first look at the brand new xTool MetalFab kit that is set to be released soon. If you haven't seen it yet, it is an industrial grade laser welding and CNC cutting kit packed full of features.

I'm going to try and convince xTool to send me one of these units so I can show you guys what it is capable of!
If I can get my hands on the xTool MetalFab kit, I'd like to hear from you what you think I should do to test it out and see if it lives up to the hype.
Typically these laser welding units are extremely expensive and combine that with the CNC cutting capability this is probably going to be for serious fabricators only. That being said, xTool has always made laser cutting and engraving so easy this might end up being the perfect way for amateurs to break into the fabrication game in a big way.
Personally I can see myself using it to start fabricating car parts again, as well as making custom metal parts for laser engraving personalization. No longer would I need to buy generic pieces at minimum order quantities, I could just create what I need from raw materials in any quantity I want.
Also, the convenience of being able to weld a variety of materials with little to no experience is incredible as the TIG welding learning curve is pretty high. It takes a lot of seat time with TIG welding to become proficient and this point and shoot laser welder makes it look like welding on "easy mode"
