Following the original trilogy and prequels, it's time to dive into the Wolverine trilogy, starting with X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The movie opens with young James Howlett (Logan/Wolverine) in 1845. His half-brother Victor Creed (Sabretooth) is introduced, showcasing their mutations. Victor's father kills James' father, triggering James' bone claws mutation, and in a rage, he kills Victor's father, who reveals himself as James' real father.
The story fast-forwards through history, showing James and Victor fighting in major wars due to their regenerative abilities. In Vietnam, Victor kills an officer, leading to both being sentenced to death but surviving. Major William Stryker then recruits them for Team X, whose members include Fred Dukes (Blob) with super strength and indestructible skin, John Wraith who can teleport, Chris Bradley (Bolt) with technopathy, expert marksman David North (Agent Zero), and Wade Wilson (Deadpool) played by Ryan Reynolds.
During a mission in Nigeria, Logan leaves due to the team's brutality. Six years later, Logan is living in Canada with his girlfriend, Kayla Silverfox. Victor kills Kayla, prompting Logan to seek revenge. Stryker offers to coat Logan's bones with adamantium, creating Weapon X.
After the procedure, Logan escapes, seeking Stryker and Victor. He teams up with John Wraith and Fred Dukes, leading to Gambit (Remy LeBeau), who knows the location of Stryker’s lab.
At the lab, Logan discovers Stryker's experiments on mutants, including turning Wade into Weapon XI (Deadpool). Logan battles Weapon XI, with Victor briefly assisting him. Logan defeats Weapon XI, but Stryker shoots him with adamantium bullets, causing amnesia. Kayla dies after using her powers to compel Stryker to walk until his feet bleed.
End Credits:
Mid-Credit: Stryker is arrested for General Munson's murder.
End-Credit 1: Weapon XI's head reanimates.
End-Credit 2: Logan in Japan, drinking to remember.
