Marvel Studios has announced the delay of six upcoming movies in the Multiverse Saga due to various reasons, including the ongoing writers' strike. The movies affected are "The Marvels," "Deadpool 3," "Captain America: New World Order - Brave New World," "Thunderbolts," "Blade," and "Fantastic Four." The release dates for these films have been pushed back to different timeframes between 2024 and 2027. Notable changes include "Deadpool 3" moving from November 2024 to May 2024, and "Fantastic Four" being rescheduled from February 2025 to May 2025. The delay allows for more time to resolve production issues and incorporate desired elements into the films.
Actor Jonathan Majors has been dropped by his PR team and management in the wake of domestic violence allegations. Majors appeared in court wearing sunglasses and a dark brown suit, accompanied by his girlfriend Meagan Good. A judge set his trial date for August 3. Majors was arrested on March 25 in Manhattan and charged with assault and aggravated harassment after a dispute with a 30-year-old woman. Majors' lawyer referred to the case as a "witch hunt" and criticized the alleged racial bias in the criminal justice system, emphasizing Majors' race and size as factors in the treatment he has received.
Ben Affleck's Batman journey has been tumultuous, but he's not done yet. After initially stepping away from the role, Affleck returned for the Snyder Cut reshoots and made a minor appearance in "The Flash." He was also expected to appear as Batman in "Aquaman 2," but the release order changed, and Affleck replaced Michael Keaton instead. However, the events in "The Flash" altered the timeline, and neither Affleck nor Keaton's Batman seems to be present anymore. This suggests that George Clooney, who appeared as Bruce Wayne in "The Flash," may be the actor for the Dark Knight cameo in "Aquaman 2.”
Marvel Studios will not be holding a Hall H panel event at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, although they will still have a presence on the convention floor. The decision is likely influenced by the ongoing writers' strike, which has caused production halts for multiple MCU projects. Marvel's external factors have led to their decision to skip Hall H. However, there may still be announcements and the potential release of new trailers for "Loki" Season 2 and "The Marvels" during the convention.
Hugh Jackman's new facial hair for his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 has been revealed. Although there are no official looks at Jackman back in the role, he has shared images of himself getting physically ready for the character. The new image shows Jackman with a beard that keeps some of the grey colorings but is not as long as it was in Logan. With filming underway for Deadpool 3, fans are excited to see Wolverine back onscreen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ryan Reynolds' long-awaited third installment has started production despite the ongoing writers' strike.
Sony Pictures has reportedly removed the movie *El Muerto* from its spin-off schedule, according to recent claims. The film was originally set to be released on January 12, 2024. However, other spin-offs such as *Kraven* and *Madame Web* are still on track for their scheduled releases on October 6 and February 16, 2024, respectively.
