"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" will see the return of familiar characters from the previous movies, with some changes. Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, is a half-god who was born on Earth to a human mother and an all-powerful celestial father named Ego. However, he lost his celestial powers after killing Ego in the last movie. The version of Gamora in "GotG Vol. 3" is from the 2014 timeline and doesn't know Peter or the Guardians, causing Peter to struggle with his feelings for her. Rocket Raccoon, who was genetically modified, will have more of his backstory revealed, including meeting some former friends, such as Lylla the otter. Groot, who sacrificed himself in the first movie, has been reincarnated multiple times and is still growing, now being called "Swole Groot" in the upcoming film. Nebula, the daughter of Thanos, has a strained relationship with her sister Gamora, and Mantis, who has the ability to sense others' thoughts and emotions, is Peter's half-sister and daughter of Ego. These returning characters with their powers and backgrounds will make for an exciting new adventure in the upcoming movie.
Marvel fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming film "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3." Here are some updates on the characters and their actors. Kraglin, played by Sean Gunn, is in possession of Yondu's Yaka arrow and may or may not still be married. Sylvester Stallone will be returning as Stakar Ogord, a Ravager captain, and Gamora will be aligned with his Ravager group. Maria Bakalova will be joining the cast as the voice of Cosmo the space dog. Adam Warlock, a Sovereign-created being, is a new character in the film. Lyla, the otter genetically enhanced by the High Evolutionary, is a former associate of Rocket Raccoon. Lastly, Phyla-vell, the sister of Captain Marvel, is also set to make an appearance.
The Guardians of the Galaxy purchased Knowhere from the Collector and have been fixing it up. The main villain in GOTG Vol. 3 will be Ayesha, who holds a grudge against the Guardians for stealing Anulax batteries from her group, The Sovereign. Ayesha created Adam Warlock with the purpose of destroying the Guardians. Will Poulter will play Warlock in Vol. 3. Another potential villain is the High Evolutionary, a scientist seeking to enhance all living beings into a "special race." It is unclear if the Guardians will survive the events of Vol. 3.
