WORST QB GAME IN NFL HISTORY 😳

On September 23, 2001, Detroit Lions quarterback Ty Detmer threw 7 interceptions in a single game against the Cleveland Browns. Making his first start of the season for the Lions, Detmer completed 22 of 42 passes for 212 yards and 1 touchdown, but his historic turnover struggles led to a 24-14 victory for the Browns.

Detmer's 7 interceptions tied him for the second-most interceptions thrown in a single NFL game. He finished just one shy of the all-time NFL record of 8, set by Jim Hardy in 1950. Browns rookie defensive back Anthony Henry caught 3 of Detmer's 7 interceptions during the afternoon. Despite the mounting turnovers, Lions head coach Marty Mornhinweg chose not to bench Detmer for backup Charlie Batch, stating after the game that he looked into Detmer's eyes at halftime and decided to stick with him.
