This is a video for a rainy Sunday afternoon, or any other day & time that you find suitable to sit down and watch me make a Finneal. Not for a particular project but simply as a practice piece. This video consists largely of hardcore spindle turning with lots of skew action and close-up view, everything on normal speed. YT Analytics tells me that my viewers like to watch that kind of video's and I'm happy to oblidge. You will also have the advantage of watching through the magnifying lens of my camera. The best look I had at the workpiece was when I reviewed and edited the video at full screen; of course that was after all the turning had been done. This workpiece is really tiny (look at my fingers for a comparison) and the camera picks up details that are not visible to my eyes anymore. So don't judge too harsh on the ridges and other imperfections that you might see. If I seem to ignore them in the video it simply means I didn't see them while I was turning and actually I don't see them on the completed piece either. Yes, my eyes are not as good as they once were but that is not something that I can change so why bother?! I'm satisfied with the result and I even have an idea for a project using this finneal.
