Making a lidded pot was still on my todo list and the other day I came up with a perfect purpose for it: Holding treats for the dogs. It is placed in the room where I have my home office. The dogs sometimes keep me company while I'm working and having this Candybox is an extra motivation for them to climb the stairs.
This project took quite a bit of time but it was great fun. I had to edit very strictly to stay within my self-imposed 15 minute limit. That means you will have wait till Christmas to watch the fail that I had while making the lid. For the pot I used a bone dry piece of spalted Maple that I found under the lathe. Very nice grain! The lid was made from Cherry, also sourced locally. And this time I even think that the colors complement eachother nicely. Let me know what you think!
