There is a tree standing behind my shop, a Rowan or Moutain Ash and it is in very poor condition. Last week we had a brief storm with gale-force gusts and I saw it wobbling in the direction of the workshop. The next storm could be fatal!
But in the images you can see why it was still standing. It was a tricky felling with little room for error. On the one side my workshop, on the other the neigbours' fence. And very little room to work because of the proximity to the building. Fortunately the lean was favourable and the fact that I'm uploading this video means all went well. Working with my good old Dolmar 115i is always a pleasure. I'm pleased that I got this done before the end of the year! Executed and uploaded on december 31st. You can already hear the firecrackers going off. Special thanks to Thijs for helping me with the recording. Happy New Year!
