This is an extra video I'm putting up for Christmas. Very little woodturning involved; instead we are helping Mother Nature. We built this nesting box mid-December and there was no time to wait for any Sparrows to visit (and film it). We do have Sparrows in the garden though and I'm sure they will drop by some time. There is still plenty of time for them until spring and installing it early helps to get rid of the smell of humans before the breeding starts. Several other birds have already checked out the facility and whoever decides to build a nest in there will be most welcome.

Mijn versie: Steigerplanken 30mm dik, circa 195mm breed.
Achterkant : 600mm, volle breedte
Zijkanten : 600 x 165mm
Voorkant : 600 x 135mm
Invlieggat : 35mm
Let op: Maat vd planken kan afwijken. Wat ik doe is dit:
- zijkanten minus 1 plankdikte, voorkant minus 2 x plankdikte.
- Deksel bovenkant moet iets groter zijn dan 200 x 200mm en aflopend ivm water afvoer.
- Binnenmaat nestbox is 135 x 135mm. Dit is het minimum.
