In 1970, Motown paired The Supremes and The Four Tops together for three 'magnificent' duet albums. From the first album "The Magnificent 7," The Supremes and The Four Tops re-recorded The Four Tops' 1964 hit single "Without The One You Love" and it proved to be incredible remake!

"Without The One You Love" was released as an A-side single in the UK in May 1972, but failed to chart. At the time, The Four Tops had left Motown and The Supremes just transitioned through a line-up change and were also failing to hit the top of the charts. It's too bad it wasn't released as a single in the winter of 1970 in the US. It would have done fairly well on the charts.
