Norman Whitfield was well known for having his songs be recorded multiple times by multiple artists. This song "Too Busy Thinking About My Baby" was no exception. Originally recorded by the Temptations, Norman Whitfield decided that Jimmy Ruffin should be given a shot at recording the song. The results are incredible and should have been considered for a single. Jimmy recorded a different song with different lyrics to the same instrumental track known as "I Know How To Love Her" prior to recording "Too Busy Thinking About My Baby" to the same track back in 1964.
