By early 1967, The Marvelettes had enjoyed a successful comeback with such hits as "Don't Mess With Bill," "The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game," and "When You're Young And In Love." Smokey Robinson wrote and produced their next single "My Baby Must Be A Magician" which turned out to be another successful hit for the group. This track was the B-side with Gladys Horton on lead. She left the group around the time the single was released to take care of her new family life.
