Railroads haul and ship just about anything you can thing of, including windmill blades. In this video, we'll see one of the more unique, and interesting trains out there - A Windmill Train!
These large, and HUGE blades are longer then a typical freight car, and require special rail cars to transport them. In this video we'll chase a train loaded with windmill blades across the Twin Cities, MN area. You'll see as they move around a bit, and the unique engineering needing to ship such a large piece of equipment. Leading the way is a BNSF C44-9W, and a GE ES44. The train is seen in various places such as Fridley, Saint Paul, and even from the sky with the drone!
