The Saint Croix Valley Railroad is a short line in Minnesota, known for having its locomotives painted in Northern Pacific inspired colors, and running on the former NP main. In the past few years things have changed due to losing a key customer, and a drop in the sand business. Most of the moves are tied to propane and car storage, while serving a handful of customers.
In this video, we'll chase a train south of Hinckley, following the line south to Rush City, and eventually to North Branch. Along the way, the drone will give us a unique views of the railroad, in places such as Mission Creek and Harris. The lead unit, 1326, has a VERY nice Leslie RS5T horn, which we'll hear a lot in this video. The latter half has their GP9 working, and making some nice noise as it pulls a mile long train to the end of the line.
