Today I take on Cici's 28-Inch "Piezilla" 11lb Pizza Challenge to win $200 cash!
In the third episode on my Texas/Oklahoma trip I'm in Norman, Oklahoma at Cici's Pizza. This buffet-style restaurant chain first opened in Texas in 1985 and has since grown to over 270 locations across the United States. Known for its affordable, all-you-can-eat setup, CiCi’s offers a wide variety of pizzas along with pasta, salads, wings, desserts, and their famous dessert pizzas! Many locations also feature a small arcade area, giving the restaurant a fun, family-friendly atmosphere where guests can enjoy games after loading up at the buffet. CiCi’s is especially known for its massive 28-inch "Piezilla" team pizza challenge.
The "Piezilla" challenge features a massive 28-inch pizza cut into 64 squares. It’s made with 4 pounds of dough, loaded with cheese, and requires at least one topping (you can add as many as you want, but you’ll have to pay for anything extra). I went with classic pepperoni on one half and pineapple on the other. Along with the pizza, you also have to finish two 32oz drinks. To take on the challenge, you do have to pay for the pizza upfront, $70 in my case, but if you can finish everything within one hour, you win $200 cash! Just a heads up: prize amounts can vary depending on the location.
