Just as any military or corporation has an hierarchy, God has an hierarchy for the family. After the fall of Adam and Eve God made Adam (fathers) the ruler over Eve (his wife) and the children to prevent chaos from taking over the home. God blessed Abraham and his seed because he ruled his household well. That same blessing is available to every common man who is married if he follows the rule of his father which is in Heaven.
