Jesus said we must repent and become as little children or we will not enter the kingdom of heaven. The third thing Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount was: “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” St. Paul says the same thing differently in Romans 4:13: “For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.” If we do not wish to perish in hell but would rather live forever on the new earth of righteousness we must repent and believe and obey Jesus Christ.
