Peter Helland explains why he thinks naming your son Hezekiah makes the most gospel sense. The reason is King Hezekiah seems to fit the gospel message better than anyone else. 2 Kings 20:5 “Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”
Peter explains that a child’s education should follow Jesus’s which saw him in the synagogue at age 12 and then eventually learning from scripture that he was to suffer and rise from the dead on the third day.
Harvard seminary going back to the 1600's stated its mission as: "Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well the end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, and therefore to lay Christ in the bottom, as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning."
