Section placement isn’t random. It affects how evenly your products apply, how your curls form, and how much fixing you have to do later.
In this coaching session, we worked on choosing section lines based on what the hair actually needs:
• Sections should be large enough to keep styling efficient
• But small enough to apply product evenly
• Face landmarks like eyebrows, eyes, and ears help create consistent section guides
• And the curve of your head matters because different areas naturally fall in different directions
If a section crosses areas that want to move differently, it often creates clumping issues or uneven shape later.
Good section placement makes styling faster and results more predictable.
