Most curl products aren’t tested under the same conditions as your routine actually happens in.
Here’s what I see all the time:
• testing happens on ideal model routines, not real multi-day styling with buildup and refreshing
• humidity can completely change whether a gel forms a cast or loses definition
• fine hair reacts very differently to conditioning ingredients than dense or coarse hair
• low density and wavy patterns are rarely represented in testing
• day-two and day-three performance almost never gets evaluated
When results don’t match the label, it usually means the testing conditions didn’t match your routine.
