Rikki Poynter | When Hearing Aids Dropped Off For Repair Break At The Audiologist... @rikkipoynter | Uploaded October 2023 | Updated October 2024, 14 hours ago.
For the last year and a half-ish, I've had a problem with- usually only my right- hearing aid dying. No audiologist has taken me seriously when I talk about it, and all of my hearing aid wearing friends are astonished by how often I have to send them in for repair.
After 3 months of living in Omaha, I finally found an audiologist office to try and dropped them off only for the program to be completely wiped out of my hearing aids. They didn't believe me when I said so, and continued to send me on my merry way.
Honestly, I should've stood firm but I didn't have my records on hand to give to them so that they could put it back in, but as it turns out, I have to make a traditional appointment anyway instead of a drop-off visit for them to do so. So I have to call for that... and the earliest they can get me in is (possibly) November.
