On October 30, 2005, a 31-year-old Cincinnati Bengals fan named Gregory Gall ran onto the field at Paul Brown Stadium and stole the football directly out of Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre's hand.

The Packers were trailing 21-14 with under 30 seconds left in the game. Favre was driving the team down the field for a potential game-tying touchdown and had just completed a 19-yard pass.

As the team scrambled to set up the next play with zero timeouts left, Gall—who later admitted he had consumed seven or eight beers—ran up to Favre just as a referee's whistle blew dead a previous sequence. He snatched the live ball right from a stunned Favre's hand.

Gall took off sprinting toward the south end zone. He famously utilized a stiff-arm that caused two pursuing security guards to collide with each other before a third guard dropped him with a form tackle.
