What type of gear do I keep in my vehicle? I realize that I left out the water jugs I keep on hand but everything else is pretty much what I keep with me at all times. You never know what you might need so consider the easy and simple things first. Also, weapons must be treated with respect and all laws should be followed. Crossing state lines gets interesting so make sure you know the law when carrying a firearm. I have a lot of redundancy so most people will be completely secure with a backpack full of basic supplies.

3. Snacks
4. Clothing
5. Tarp
6. Flashlight
7. Wire or Cordage
8. Something to make fire
9. Some way to signal for help
