I misplaced a bunch of audio from years of collecting recordings in central MI. I came across most of it and am now going over some of the recordings that I have not heard for about five years. In this episode the witness and I are in a field and we have been hearing mumbles and whistles followed by crunching in the snow (I was not there in the morning to look for tracks). The witness said she heard return knocks but I never did. Subsequent analysis of the recording proves her correct. Whenever you are in the field and you get a return knock it is cool. I did not know that the recorder I had set out in the field earlier had already picked up some strange howls. Had I heard those I might have not been so eager to walk into the woods. The recording took place around 10pm and there was about a foot of snow on the ground. Use headphones or hold the phone close. I amplified the audio and cut it for time. I marked the time to listen carefully. The video and pictures were added to enhance the winter theme but were recorded at a different location. Thank you for listening and watching.
