You do not need to take off the grill. I had to but to adjust the lights you will not have to. I picked up some new Optix 7" LED headlights and needed some fine tuning or I was shining raccoons in the trees. This method allows you to easily aim your lights using your own garage in the day or any wall at night. It is more accurate the closer you get to 25' but within the garage it gives you a good idea of about where the lights are going. You need some tape, one flat head screwdriver and a hex screwdriver. Do not pinch your finger under the grille. It is easy to do yourself and you can be happy with the results. It would probably work with any round headlight. Hope this helps.
